Patrolman Henry Walburger was assigned to the 9th Precinct where, on July 27, 1964, he was gunned down in the line of duty, while protecting a black mother and daughter from an armed white intruder. Below are a series of clippings from the September issue of Spring 3100, an NYPD publication.

In September of that year, one of the victims, the daughter, Barbara Pierre Franklin, wrote a letter to Henry's wife, expressing her gratitude for having been saved.

Finally, in October of that year, Henry's partner, Patrolman Thaddeus Malysz submitted the report detailing the events the night of Henry's death.
