We are committed to making lives and the environment better through experiencing the healing and therapeutic properties of the Hudson River.
For over 20 years we have been on the Hudson River, and we have been a part of every historical, charitable, and major event. We have supported The Hudson Riverkeeper when they have needed a vessel to continue conducting their water quality testing on the Hudson. We have worked and still work with the U.S. Coast Guard and Homeland Security to provide essential on-water security for a myriad of events. In short, we have been on the Hudson for everything.
Where The Money Will Go
Hull maintenance - The hull of Launch 5 is doing well, and we want to keep it that way! The hull of any vessel is the first thing you want to make sure gets the maintenance it needs, so that is first on our list of priorities!
Electronics upgrades - We host several disabled children on Launch 5, and they are fascinated with the electronics in the pilothouse. We want to be able to teach them about marine navigation systems on some more current iterations.
Upgraded and updated safety equipment - We have used the heck out of all the life vests on Launch 5 over the years, and we are due for some new ones. We also want to make sure that we have all the first aid supplies we need, plus back-stock.
Engine maintenance - Our Cat diesel engines need some upgrades to continue running as efficiently as they have for over 20 years!
